Old Lonesome Dave, aka O.L.D., is the City of Middletown, Connecticut's Official Inaugural Musical Ambassador (appointed by Mayor Dan Drew in 2014). Along with his other ambassadorial duties, O.L.D. feels privileged to Host The Jack n' Jill Open Mic Nights, held the first Wednesday of every month, starting 7:30-8:00-ish, at the awesome Mezzo Grille on Court Street, Middletown (860-346-6000). O.L.D. invites any and all kinds of entertainers or performers to join the fun, the first Wednesday of the month. And if you just wanna sit and listen (and/or watch), have a drink and a bite to eat, well, that's great, too! You can also enter the Jack n' Jill Songwriting Contest, and potentially win a chance to perform at the 2017 Jack n' Jill Music Festival, held each September on Mezzo's back- patio. The Jack n' Jill Music Festival is an eclectic, culturally diverse Festival, and a fund-raiser for New Horizons Domestic Violence Services.
