ZION was started back in 2004, by Sam and Eddie. They recruited Kyle Merkle shortly after deciding to leave their former band, Venture. The three wrote many songs and played at many different places. While still in high school, they won themselves first place at the Salem High Battle of the Bands and later first place in the CATS battle of the bands. This won them a trip to Hollywood to record in Sully Erna's (Godsmack) studio, Spiral Recording. There, they recorded a three song demo, which has been put out through New Hampshire and other places in New England. They are the head music directors for Cage Fury Fighting. They write all the music for the fights and the fight videos. They have also traveled down to Atlantic City to play at the Cage Fury events. Towards the middle of 2006, soon after the addition of guitarist Luke Morris, the band decided to take the rest of the year off from playing together. Some of the guys went to do their own side projects and other activities. But now, in 2007, they are back in full force and in the writing process for their full length CD that will be out by this fall! Please stay tuned here for info and updated show schedule!
