are poets allowed to sign up or is it just for musicians? and does everyone have to audition prior?

Couple of weeks ago my gf and I heard 3 really gr8 bands. We didn't stay too long but we heard this really amazing band with 3 sisters called Ramekega! OMG it was way better than the shows at The Barn! This is an open mike? There were two other bands we liked named Kid Gramaphone and The Block Party (luv the cover of Adele). Just one MAJOR complaint the guy at the p.a. system (with the pony tail) smoked like a chimney and was very annoying. Isn't smoking in public places illegal? The space is enclosed and we shouldn't have to breath second had smoke! At one point he kept leaving and had to be called to check the sound and didn't show up. Other than that way cool!

Best entertainment value in the IE! Great place for a family crowd. Great music and atmosphere, live stage out on the patio. They played from 7 to past midnight. The food and drink prices were very reasonable, in fact cheap. The Chicken Marinara Casserole was great and so were the smoothies and coffees. All the acts were groups or at least duos. They had a great bass, guitar and keyboard players who would sit in and fill out the sound. Performers need a "Green Card", no not from immigration, from the Plum House that certifies the performers as up to Plum House standards. You need to audition for it on Fridays at 7pm or call for latest rules. Don't be cheap! Spend a little on food. You'll get your money's worth and help keep this gig going so it doesn't go the way of the Coffee Depot.
