- Eye-opening and pleasurable. I loved the comfortable environment. There is a lot of people! Approximately 100-150 (cumulative of the whole night). Makes for a vibrant atmosphere.

BREAK THE SILENCE! consists of free art, dance, music, spoken word, poetry, and good vibes!… every last Thursday of the month.
An open-mic show in hopes of raising social consciousness through visual and verbal forms of art. Sit back, enjoy the soothing environment, and emancipate your mind.
There will be an open wooden panel for painting, and spray painting, as well as other interactive programs like "Secrets," and "Thoughtboxes."

When choosing pieces to perform, sticking to the theme is highly encouraged. Although breaking the silence is open to interpretation, choose pieces that have substantial content and encourage the audience to question themselves, to think critically, and to initiate discussion among their peers. We welcome visual artists, spoken word artists, poets, MCs, singers, musicians… everybody! DROP YOUR KNOWLEDGE!
