- Hey everyone, my name is Jesse Tuttle, I run the open mics at Memphis on Main. A few things have changed in the past year or so - here is how it works: You MUST sign up in advance. We offer ten spots a week and they WILL fill up, so let us know at least a week ahead of time when you want to come in. Show starts at 9pm, you must be there no later than 8:45 to keep your spot. 5-6 mins for your first time in. Must be your material, blue is fine, and 19 or older to enter. Is there an age restriction? I am 19 and have been critiquing an act since i was 16 and would like to try it out in a real club as opposed to in front of biased friends and talent shows. Mike (1/2010)
- Tim, It's an easy sign-up, pretty much show up by 8:30 and sign the book, usually it's by the soundbar in the middle of the club on the left side. Pretty much open topic, blue is fine, but it's gotta be your stuff, don't get up and do your impressions of comedians, ya know?

- are there rules? subjects not allowed? I am a comedian I have been working on my act for awhile now and would LOVE to come to your venue. please get back to me thanks, also what is the time on stage?.

By simply signing up one hour before the show on show nights (Remember! space is limited, and first come first serve). Or by reserving your spot via the website (memphisonmain.com/) . Reserved spots take precedence over walk-ins. There are only a limited number of reserve spots per night so plan accordingly.
Note that online signups require a $20 PayPal "holding" fee, which is refunded when you show up to perform. See the site for details.
