matt cook (4/2011): The Laff Stop Comedy Club has open mic night Wednesdays at 7:30. Many of the biggest names in Texas comedy got their start here. The comedians on this evening perform for free and there is no admission fee. The Laff Stop holds various special events, including a Houston's Funniest Person contest. It also offers coupons for some of its regular comedy shows, held Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as most Sundays. Tickets are $15. Patrons can also take advantage of a menu and bar featuring a wide variety of selections. Gift certificates are also available
