Hi,

I'll be in Austin for a couple of days from Los Angeles. I play musical satire- I'm hoping to bring my friend Val (who’s moving back to Austin) to play her blues piano stuff. Hope Texans like Californios.

From everything I’ve heard about Austin – especially music wise- I’m afraid I may never go back!

Please let me know if there is anything I need to do to get on stage – like what time (really) to show up?!

This open mic gets PACKED!!! Lots of folks stay to listen. I recommend coming early to get on the list!

New things: We'll be moving out to the patio during warmer weather.

Some minor changes to this open mic: starts at 8p. 3 songs per artist (reduced to 2 if it's packed). A new musician from the open mic crowd is featured every week. Open mic will be outside during warmer weather.
