This is a Call Out to all poets, hip-hop artists and other outspoken wordsmiths: polish your word, shine your rhyme and lip-spittle your lyrics for the weekly Poetry Slam at the Incidental Metaphor Cafe, a Friday staple at the Fallsburg Library.

All contestants are given a live audience and just five minutes to impress people with their original spoken word, poetry, hip hop, monologues and stories.

There will be no censorship at this event, so bring small children at your own discretion.

Live music will almost always follow the slam. Check with the library for a listing of the featured musical acts. If you play mellow music (jazz, blues, folk, classical, classic rock), give me a call, because we always need musical acts too.
