I was in the area, so I stopped by. Host Bob Nanninga (and I think one of the co-owners) is a local luminary who does his best with keeping the musicians in line. Standing room crowd once things get going, and that's probably because Bob will skip musicians who are not in the room when their names are called. This is great--an open mike is partially about listening to others. Bob made the request for all original music, but a couple of rogue musicians slipped in some covers. Very nice open mike. I will visit again when I'm visiting the area.

At E Street Cafe, we don't take call-ins for open stage nights. The Tuesday sign up list is generally out by 6:30PM. Bob likes to start things off at 7:00PM; Sets are 10 minutes.

It's Open Stage; it's best if you can perform acoustically. All the cafe's a stage; and we're but merely coffee drinkers. Musicians, poets, comedians, monologists, and audiences are welcome!
