Heads up to those interested parties - we are indeed still there! We aim to start about 9pm every Thursday, however, due to weather concerns/when people actually arrive we sometimes don't get really rolling until 10pm. If you're a first-timer, I recommend trying to catch us at 10pm - we'd love to see/hear you there!
A. Bouman (7/2008): San Francisco's only outdoor open mic has been taking over this corner for over five years now. Groups of poets, musicians, comedians, MCs, performers, well-wishers and fans gather about 9pm and stay until midnight to participate. There are no rules, aside from basic respect and anything can happen. A completely democratic (and free!) open mic that is open to all. If you're a performer, come get your chops! If you're a fan, come check us out!
Amber Bouman (7/2008): This is the true poetry put to the street for the passer byer to hear what's really going on, Show up if it's a clear day, people might not come if it's rainy.
Nathan (11/2007): showed up… looked around, found no-one else who came… waited for an hour… no contact information on their website to confirm on the night of the event makes this a "not gonna try it again" non-event.
